After 25 years in business, my mother Anna is planning to retire from the retail business.
She has built incredible friendships over the years both with her customers and suppliers.
There have been dozens of brands who started out small, trying to get a foot in the door, supplying to local boutiques such as my mother's iconic store, Hop Skip N Jump. Anna always gave honest and thoughtful comments to the businesses she worked with and this often gave them a competitive edge on the market.
Over the years, Anna had seen the changes in Bay street, Brighton. New multi level apartments popping up all over. The shiny new Coles supermarket with apartments stacked on top. This changed the sleepy look of Bay street to a more modern and busy street. Unfortunately, many other businesses were forced to close due to these new changes.
Anna decided to close down the Hop Skip N Jump business and become an outlet store for Fashion Deli, in a way consolidating our two businesses and offering customers a place to shop our sale items all year around.
Now, Anna is ready to retire and we are all going to miss her vibrant, cheerful greeting. Her helpfulness and expertise. Her warm genuine smile. She has seen her young customers grow up and become parents themselves. This is truly unique and special.
With Love and gratefulness, thank you for teaching me that with courage and determination I can do anything I set my mind to.
